2025 marks the 30th Budapest Pride March—a historic milestone not only for Hungary, but for all of Europe. As the first Pride in Central and Eastern Europe, our march has stood for freedom, dignity, and LGBTQ visibility for three decades. Now, more than ever, we need your support to keep it going.
In February, Hungary’s Prime Minister announced plans to ban the Pride March. Just weeks later, new legislation restricting freedom of assembly was passed—aimed squarely at silencing us. But we refuse to be pushed back into the shadows.
Budapest Pride will march on June 28, no matter what. Because this is bigger than us. It’s not just about LGBTQ rights—it’s about defending democracy itself.
We’re facing unprecedented financial challenges: key grants have been canceled, and most of our corporate sponsors have backed out. But we’re determined to move forward—without cutting staff salaries, and without canceling our Community Festival or the March.
This is where you come in. With your one-time or recurring donation, you can help us stand strong in the face of growing repression. Every contribution fuels our movement, amplifies our voices, and brings us one step closer to equality.
Donate now! Help us show the world that we’re still here—and we’re not going anywhere.
