Fantapolitica sta usando i suoi ultimi risparmi e rischia di non arrivare a fine dell’anno. 

Quest’anno la filantropia ci ha lasciate sole: le nostre due principali fonti di finanziamento strutturale sono venute a mancare. Ci siamo rimesse al lavoro per trovare nuovi fondi, ma nel frattempo potremmo non farcela ad arrivare a dicembre. Dopo 4 anni di crescita costante — da 0 a 65.000 euro in bilancio nei primi due anni — oggi siamo davvero preoccupate.

Siamo l'unica organizzazione in Italia che sostiene sistematicamente gruppi grassroots e giovani under 30 per incidere nella politica istituzionale. Il nostro evento annuale, il Fantaritiro, è dietro l’angolo. Per coprirne i costi stiamo usando tutti i nostri risparmi.

A meno di una settimana dall’inizio, abbiamo raccolto abbastanza fondi solo per metà delle partecipanti. E sappiamo bene chi ci rimette quando i soldi finiscono e quando l’ostacolo finanziario si alza: donne, persone razzializzate, queer, di classe popolare, delle comunità del Sud. Le stesse persone escluse dalla partecipazione politica in un Paese dove il potere è lontano dalle lotte sociali reali. Le stesse persone che non potremo più raggiungere e supportare quest’anno se tutti i nostri risparmi vanno a coprire i costi del Fantaritiro. 

Se stai ancora leggendo è perché, come noi, sai che la società civile è sotto attacco e che l’inclusione è chiave del cambiamento.

Oggi più che mai abbiamo bisogno di una comunità che si prenda cura degli spazi politici che ci permettono di organizzarci. Alcune delle persone che stanno leggendo questo appello possono permettersi una donazione da 4 euro. Altre avrebbero il privilegio di poter coprire i costi dell’intero Fantaritiro con un solo bonifico. Stiamo parlando a entrambe. Abbiamo bisogno di voi.

Fantapolitica is using its last savings and risks not making it to the end of the year.

This year, philanthropy left us alone: our two main sources of structural funding disappeared. We’ve gone back to the drawing board to seek new funds, but in the meantime, we may not make it to December. After four years of steady growth — from €0 to €65,000 in our first two years — today we’re truly worried.

We are the only organization in Italy that systematically supports grassroots groups and young people under 30 to influence institutional politics. Our annual event, the Fantaritiro, is just around the corner. And to cover its costs, we are using up all our savings.

Less than a week before it begins, we’ve only raised enough to welcome half of the participants. And we know exactly who pays the price when money runs out and financial barriers go up: women, racialised people, queer folks, working-class youth, and communities from the South. The same people who are already excluded from political participation in a country where power is detached from real social struggles. The same people we won’t be able to reach or support this year if all our savings go into covering the Fantaritiro.
