Poland has the worst access to legal and safe abortion in Europe. The consequences are that hospitals refuse Polish women abortions guaranteed by law. Doctors falsify prenatal test results, and seeking help often ends at a police station.

The FEDERA Foundation is the oldest pro-choice foundation in Poland. Despite the political class’s paralysis and the blackmail of the Catholic Church, we accompany women in accessing safe abortion—both at home and in hospitals. We educate on abortion, contraception, and sex education, build databases of women-friendly doctors, provide free legal assistance, carry out interventions in hospital wards, and file complaints with the Patient Rights Ombudsman.
